I had a wonderful break. The piggery is a perfect retreat. Comfortable the owner is absolutely wonderful. Felt very at home with my dog. Location is stunning with a Robin singing, blue tits, black birds, squirrels to mention some of the wildlife. Would definitely recommend and happily have stayed longer.

The Piggery is small but comfortable for two and a small dog. We were so lucky to have mid summer warmth in October and enjoyed visiting local beaches and riverside walks. The Piggery stands in a beautiful location overlooking garden and fields. A perfect place in a peaceful rural setting.

The property and garden were amazing; perfect for 2 people and 1 dog. Location was amazing as loads of activities around e.g. heritage sites, camber sands, rye etc. Joanna offered great recommendations and was very helpful and stocked the fridge with some staples, which was lovely. It was a peaceful and fun weekend.

Once we found The Piggery it was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. While small, it was fine for two persons and a dog. A nice location for Rye, Tenterden, and Chapel Down Winery, though there is nowhere to walk to (e.g. village pub) due to distance, fast roads and no paths. We visited six National Trust properties during our stay, which was gRead morereat. Private, quiet, and very pleasant - even in a windy, wet, blustery March. It must be even more lovely in summer. We might have to come back! Hide

The Piggery is a dear little place in a beautiful setting and had everything I needed, including some added extras such as fresh bread, butter and eggs. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked despite its size and the views were gorgeous! As a solo traveller it was perfect but would be a cosy retreat for a couple, too.

Lovely property and great location, very quiet and out the way but lots to do around the area - small business shopping nearby with the local village, beaches within a short drive, and lots of heritage locations nearby which we greatly enjoyed. Joanna was very helpful during our stay if we needed anything, definitely recommend!
