Dog-friendly holiday cottages in Rye, East Sussex

The ancient Cinque Ports town of Rye near the East Sussex and Kent border lies just 4 miles from the coast at Camber Sands, one of the south’s most glorious stretches of beach. Dog friendly all year round (with some restrictions in summer), your four-legged family member will have you in the car and running along the miles of sands in no time. It’s not all beach, however, the town itself is one of the most picturesque in the country, with cobbled streets, half-timbered buildings and historic houses and gardens. Browse the little antique and bookshops that could have come straight out of A Christmas Carol and find refuge in one of the dog-friendly tearooms, where hungry hounds can hoover up the crumbs of your cream tea as they hope for a biscuit from behind the counter.

When it’s time for a well-earned snooze, head back to one of our dog-friendly cottages in Rye and put tired paws and feet up in front of a roaring wood burner on cold winter days. When the sun is shining, retire to the garden where you can take the sun while Fido has a nice stretch on the lawn, followed by a sausage or two at the family BBQ. Our dog-friendly holiday cottages in Rye couldn’t be better placed for a holiday to this lovely part of the country.
