This charming Grade II listed cottage is located in the delightful Sussex village of Robertsbridge, ideally situated to head to the south coast or explore the surrounding countryside.

Situated in the medieval village of Robertsbridge in East Sussex, this property benefits from a quiet location, with access to village amenities including a choice of country pubs. The imposing National Trust property of Bodiam Castle is within a 15 minute drive and is a lovely place to spend a day, enjoying the history and the castle grounds. A 25 minute drive to the south will bring you to the seaside town of Hastings and its elegant twin, St. Leonards, both of which offer a choice of shops and places to eat.

A garden path leads up to this 17th century, Grade II listed cottage. On entering, turn immediately right to find the welcoming and cosy living area. The lounge area benefits from an inglenook open fire and comfy sofas. Leading straight into the dining area, with an elegant dining table, suitable for six. French doors open out onto the garden, allowing light to flood into the room. Back through the hall, you will find a door leading to a comfortable snug with two sofas, TV with DVD player and a selection of DVDs. A doorway leads into the large, tasteful kitchen with cosy underfloor heating and Aga-style oven and hob. You will also find a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A breakfast bar seats two, but should you prefer to sit outside and enjoy the sun, a door opens out onto the garden dining area. The ground floor also has a useful cloakroom. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms. The master bedroom has double bed, TV with DVD and radio. The second double bedroom has double bed and window overlooking the garden. A third bedroom has bunk beds and an additional single bed and is perfect for children. The bathroom benefits from underfloor heating, bath and separate shower cubicle.

The beautifully-planted cottage garden is accessed through the dining room or kitchen and comprises a grassed area with stunning flower beds, with summerhouse and a patio space suitable for al fresco dining.

A spacious and comfortable house with lovely period features and a very pretty, large back garden. We very much appreciated the patio and barbecue and the historic village is central for all things relating to the battle of Hastings. Perfect for family get-togethers. There is a very good and friendly pub a short stroll away.
