Holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation in Fairlight

Nestled in between Hastings and Rye, the pretty little village of Fairlight in Sussex is as beautiful as its name suggests. Home to the magnificent Fairlight Hall which hosts events throughout the year, it is also perfectly situated between the larger towns of Hastings, Battle and Rye. All of these are full of historical monuments, such as Hastings Castle, Battle Abbey and the Ypres Tower, as well as lots of little antique shops and traditional tea rooms.

Fairlight is well known for its Firehills and the Country Park – it has miles upon miles of country and coastal walking with spectacular views across the Channel to France on a clear day. It is great for children and dogs, and offers lots of little spots to stop off for a picnic. Fairlight has its own little village shop and a tearoom just by the Firehills – perfect for stopping off for a cup of tea and a piece of cake after a lovely long walk, where dogs are also welcome.

You will find traditional country pubs in the nearby village of Pett, and of course Rye, only fifteen minutes away is full of cafes and restaurants. With Hastings just down the road and Bexhill only slightly further west, you will find galleries and art spaces galore, such as the Jerwood Gallery and the De La Warr Pavilion, great for an afternoon of culture.
