Holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation in Sedlescombe

Sedlescombe is a tiny village close to Battle. It is characterised by its sloping village green and the timber-clad houses that encircle it. Some of the village greenhouses date back to the 15th century. The pub has a few good amenities that include a pub, a post office/village shop.

Half a mile from the village green is the Church of St John the Baptist that still retains a seat-plan dated 1632 which includes the names of local parishioners. Another place of historical interest close by is the town of Battle. As most people know this was the site of the Battle of Hastings and you can visit the field where the clash between the Normans and the Saxons took place. Visit Battle Abbey - it’s said that the altar is located on the spot where King Harold fell.

Our self-catering Sedlescombe accommodation is also within driving distance of Hastings and other great south coast attractions like Dungeness and Camber Sands. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in East Sussex then our Sedlescombe cottages are perfect for you.
